Wow, just get out. The game gives me over 100 fps already on only a single 780, it's ALREADY fantastically well optimised considering it's still in it's early beta stages and now going into the next phase of Beta. Don't just arrive with a blanket statement without doing your research. They haven't turned any of what they're calling their advanced graphics settings yet and it already looks fucking stunning and runs fantastically well.
Last one I promise, been a nice thing to pass the time with though.
Getting better, but the logo text is pretty horrific, barely readable. You're applying chrome effects using a scale which is way too buy for the text it's on, making it very difficult to pick out from the background etc.
No it's a pre-order stop being cheap! You'd already be getting an awesome deal if you just spend £70 and got the game and the expansions.
This game is set to have a minimum lifespan of around 10 years... that's £7 PER YEAR. Compare that to COD/Battlefield where you spend £70 per year for each new game + premium + dlc... and tell me that's not value for money.

EDIT: Also I was pretty damn surprised how well it ran on integrated graphics before forcing it to use my GPU

For me the expense is $175.. buy the game and expansion.. $125 then the hotas system. I agree with your analogy but i don't spend money on those. Its just a rather big expense at a bad time when i have so much other shit to get atm. And the fact the expansion pass ends today sucks too.

Fuck it i bought it. Also buying the Hotas system. I figured if i spent $200 on WoT i can spend it on this game.
You spent 200$ on f2p game? Damn.
I wish i had a hotas, but for now i am happy with my 50% keyboard 50% joystick setup. Basically allows me to map everything on my keyboard and still be able to steer properly.

I love the game. I supported it. I got the hotas for cheap and i had a gift card so i didn't pay much for it.
EDIT: Does anyone know the total file size once everything is installed?
EDIT: When i try to launch the launcher i get a windows error saying this program has stopped working.. anyone else getting this? Sorry for another edit.. just got it fixed. If anyone is having an issue launching it, its a simple fix. Just let me know and i tell you what i did.

what does it say in your downloadable products page on the online store?
mine is still just saying "Elite: Dangerous - Premium Beta" with the date as 10/12/2013, and no other products are listed!

must say, i find it a bit confusing how they've implemented the crossover from the original backers app to the new online store, i.e. how it doesn't show anything in the My Orders page or give a full listing of things like lifetime expansions etc on the Downloadable products page.
