oh yes you want a seperate throttle, if nothing else just for the extra buttons and control over thrust direction while dogfighting. You can't win if you fly it like a planeHotas is 100% the setup for E
Pay once, play forever. You can get the base game for as little as £35, but the lifetime expansion pass (none of this season bullshit) will get you literally everything else.

I'm really tempted to buy just the game and season pass. The money i save from not buying the beta i could put towards the Hotas system. Decisions decisions and not enough time to choose

Well then you have a HOTAS, but no game to use it with.

Ya but i would eventually get the game soon enough. I'm only considering it because i am limited on funds.
The game won't release this year, i am pretty sure of that.
So either you have a game and you get the HOTAS later or you get the HOTAS and it gets dusty in a corner till the game releases. Pretty easy choice imo.

Just looked it up, it's expected to release in Q4 2014. That's quite ambitious. I expected the beta to last longer.

Well Q4 would mean i would end up waiting from anywhere after Sept for the game. Quite a long wait. If this damn thing was cheaper i would have gotten it already

That is just the planned release anyways. There is a good chance they will delay it to Q1 2015.
