Differences in X-Fis

I think the main differences between the X-Fi models are connectivity options and X-RAM. I bought the XtremeMusic because £60 was the most I was prepared to give Creative

I`ve seen maybe four different cards from Creative called an X-Fi up to now, some stripped down more than others.
Nothing new from Creative Labs, like a lottery lol.
Great cards tho tbf.

Those Drives are awesome tbh. Even if u don`t use them all the time, having the options is great.
Do u know if the remote that comes with them will work something like mc or vista`s menus ? The previous older models never >.<

The front bay has an IR reciever.
@Rast - not sure not really tried and seeing as I'm on Vista and there's a general lack of drivers for that I doubt it will for me. It switches applications etc in XP tho

i connected it with the xfi card with an sort of ide cable but i havent seen any new hardware found or anythingDONT GET THE AUDIO! its crap, the gamer is going to replace the music soon (the music has been disscontinued in the states). The gamer seems to be the same as the music but low profile, no gold connectors and less connectivity. So the music is where its at as it uses the same drivers as the gamer and is a little cheaper in the UK.
I will be expecting a massive difference as i will be getting both at the same time as well, medusa sl-8790 and the x-fi music.
Other stuff in the pipeline too but these will come first as I need them most (decent air cooling and complete upgrade to follow) My logic is that chips will go down where as these will always stay at the current price more or less.
I am on onboard sound and sennheiser (music headphones atm)

The thing is - the fatal1ty FPS has optical out which works great - why does it say not on the data sheet?
Maybe the FlexiJack: Optical Out + Digital I/O columns refer to the ports on the back of the card, and the optical out you're talking about comes under the AD-EXT6 column (X-Fi I/O Drive)?
