So i have been playing Diablo more often recently and one thing i have noticed is that my level 36 Wizard has low DPS compared to other people (i have around 350 DPS) i have seen people at 1000+ who are a few levels below me. Is there something i am doing wrong ?

Are you only using items you have found? People with better gear tend to shop on the AH to gear up.

it varies massively depending on hat gear you got and what kind of char your using, also at lower levels your dps goes up massivly each level because of the progression you make especially finding new gear

I use the AH also and i have managed to put it up a little bit to just over 500

my dh is doing my head in. my lvl 60 has a base dps of about 25k but with the sharpshooter crit bonus it goes up to 77k but that stat means squat all because in inferno i will still do 2000 damage but will occasionally crit up to 120k but its total bullcrap i have 21k hp so i get 1-3 hit by everything but my brothers monk has 25k hp and about 18k dps but will 1hit most of act 1 inferno. the game is infuriating. i work for the family business and have my own company on the side so i dont have the time to grind and grind and grind but even with 5 stack of nv and any rare drops are USELESS. and thats from atleast 10 runs of inf act 1.

Sorry but diablo is a grind game, 10 runs is nothing. That's just how it is. I'd say out of every 75-100 rares I find, one is good enough to keep or sell on the AH.

not gunna lie to you man but diablo is a 99% grinding game buy the biggest grinding game company in the world, blizzard, although to try and fiz your dh have you got the passive skill that increases your crit chance by 3 per second its really helps seeing as DH's are very weak characters so they focus on crit chance and damage along with attack speed you should focus on these if you want to progress into act 2,3,4 you will deffinetly need a team to take on anything above act 2 mainly comprised of mage monk and barbs (no WD's they suck imo no offence) you will struggle on act 2, also even though you and your bros chars are same level they are much different soley because of the class, if i were you try again with a different class untill you can find a inf DH i couldnt do it first time but as soon as i made a monk i could farm act 2-3 to help fund a DH thats could tackle inf DH's are bad first time chars imo
