Crosshair IV overclocking problem

Hey guys this is my first post here and I have a problem lol.

I just today put together my first rig and after some problems with RAM voltage it seemed to go alright, but after trying to overclock my Phenom II X4 955 on a Asus Crosshair IV mobo I'm confused because seemingly my CPU has a locked multi? On the box it says black edition but according to SIS Sandra and ATI overdrive the max multi is 16x! I've updated to the latest BIOS but it's still the same.

Advice needed please.

Yes, cool and quiet is disabled. I'm here scratching my head pretty confused tbh.

I take it you have tried to manual set the multiplyer to a higher value in the bios?

To be honest I can't find the multi in the bios at all. I'm not brand new to overclocking having oc'ed my i7 rig but yeah, can't find the multi. :|

Could it be called cpu ratio (it's currently set to auto)? I've been through the bios with a fine toothcomb and can't find anything called multiplier at all.

Yep thats it mate auto means the core speed x the cpu set ratio (intel is 133x21 for 2.66ghz 133x21= 2666 for example)
