Was just thinking "This needs some heavy satin laquer". Would look tacky shiny.

Yeah I'd be putting 2 or 3 good coats of clear shiny lacquer on this then putting a couple of satin or matt ones over the top, give it a good solid block of see through armour so it can't ever get chipped
