Ok in the next few weeks im going to be buying my first gaming rig. Its not going to be a i7 powerhouse so bear with me. I'm looking at two different i3 bundles that uses two different motherboards the Gigabyte GA-H55M and the MSI H55M-ED55. I'm wondering which will give me a longer lifespan so i don't have to upgrade in a year or two. The boards both come with memory and a i3 overclocked, these are the specs:
• Intel® Core™ i3-540 Overclocked @ 4.20GHz - Dual Core CPU
• 4GB Mushkin Silverline 1333MHz 9-9-9-24
• MSI H55M-ED55 Micro-ATX Motherboard
• Coolermaster Hyper TX3 CPU Coole
Price: £219.98 inc. VAT
• Intel® Core™ i3-540 Overclocked @ 4.30GHz - Dual Core CPU
• Mushkin 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 Blackline - 996744
• Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3 Intel H55 DDR3 Motherboard
• Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler
Price: £279.99 inc. VAT
I no one clearly has a speed advantage but which one shows the most promise. All advice is welcome as i am new to making gaming rigs.
Thanks Dean
