I'm using http://www.corsair.com/en-us/domina...3200mhz-c16-memory-kit-cmd16gx4m4b3200c16-rog

and I'm getting way under the 3200MHz. cpuz says

So am I to believe that my RAM is running at only 2137MHz? If so does anyone know why this might be?

Thanks,

Have you enabled XMP?

They dont just run at rated out of the box.

Your CPU may struggle with 32GB of 3200MHz too so you may have to set them up manually.

You didnt POST your rig specs either - if you did you post may actually help someone in the future (after you change your sig)

If you are running X99 then you 100% need to learn how to manually set your memory up anyways, because your cache volts for one on auto will end up killing your cpu. Thankfully youre using Asus because it would be worse with the other brands

XMP is enabled. Do you have a recommended source where I can learn to set them up manually, I'm a bit new to it? I'm happy to change my sig, what needs to be corrected? all of my overclocks are from the mobos ez tune, should I not go with that? Thanks.

also I'm happy to post any info I can to help others. not sure what I can post that I haven't already though.

1st Ive added your rig specs to your first post (assuming they are right)

2nd - ^^^^ no need to post twice - just use the edit button ( fixed, you're welcome - SuB )

3rd get the motherboard manual out and fit just four sticks of ram (in the right slots) and then enable XMP (to start with)

Sorry for all the posts lol. I'm so new to forums I didn't even think to just edit my post, thanks. Ill get my manual and see what I can figure out, I appreciate the advice.

I normally set XMP to get going and then start manually changing things.

OP are you using 2 x 16gb kits or 1 x 32gb kit of memory.

I thoroughly trust you TTL. Honestly I'm having trouble just seeing what its actually running at lol. if I'm to believe CPUZ then its currently running at 3099.3MHz. is there a better way to find this info? I'm really trying to learn how this all works but I'm still quite a novice.

I pulled one kit out and now it runs at 3200MHz no problem. should I just put the other set back in or is there something else I need to do first?

I'm so confused, BIOS says its running at 3200MHz but CPUZ says something else... upon further inspection task manager also has me at 3200MHz. I think its been fine this whole time and I've just been thrown off by what CPUZ says.

DDR = double data rate. Your memory is running 3200. CPUZ reports half the speed dude !

2133mhz ram here.
