Weird Bios/Motherboard issues!

Hello,
My PC is having weird reboot issues when switching to different saved overclock bios settings.

1. When I change to different bios settings for different stable overclocks the pc won't boot, the pc will shut down but doesn't turn back on after that.
What I do to make things work again I unplug my PSU for a few seconds or minutes depending on my situation then replug the PSU then press the case's power switch. It then brings me to the "choose your settings" screen, then I type "Alt+xnumberx" then reboot.

2. When I reset CMOS the PC will not turn back on from the get go like before, it used to just turn back on and I'll go on with my day.

3. Now when I try to reflash the bios it doesn't reboot till I do #1 and #2.

What I was thinking at first is the boot order saved in the overclocked bios settings, but I never changed anything. I have a few overclock settings saved ranging from 4.5Ghz-4.8Ghz with nothing changed in the settings but settings associated with overclocking my CPU/RAM.

Another thing I've noticed is if I get past all this and resetting the motherboard to defaults and JUST setting XMP/memory voltage it won't restart like it normally does before.

Is my OS boot order corruped or screwed up?
Is my PSU about to Die isn't properly power up the motherboard?
This PC is fairly new and these issues has me amazed that it's already breaking down so fast.

I don't want to have to RMA my motherboard again, then have to wait for a different one.
But if I have to then so be it, but if I have to do it again, then that would suck a lot.

Anyways enough of my rambling...

Any thoughts on this matter or ideas what could be the cause of this?

Thanks for your time...

Its not your os thats for sure, Wouldn't put it down to PSU. I had a z77 board that did the exact same thing. I'm sure it was a bios setting that was causing it but i cannot remember for the life of me what it was. I tryed everything and eventually found out what it was.
Have you contacted MSI? They maybe able to advise you. It could unfortunately be a fault with the board or just simple a setting? Maybe even faulty ram?

Was it a simple fix?

What I've done so far..
Replaced CMOS battery with a new one, some of the issues still persist besides having to pull the battery out everytime.
Now it doesn't restart if I restore defaults or load a saved profile, but I am glad I don't have to remove the battery everytime.
Another thing to add is when I upgrade/downgrade bios it doesn't restart will shut the PC down completely, which I find odd. Once I get by that the screen shows to choose bios switch 1 or 2 to flash. On that note when doing this should saved profiles be erased??

Thanks for your reply!

Stupid question. Is OC genie enabled or disabled?

Not a stupid question at all!!
I don't use that button at all...

This is all happening with resetting CMOS and bios settings default settings. SO it SHOULD not be an issue if it's at defaults, is what I'm thinking.

So everything is at default with all tests, overclock and/or defaults saved settings when loaded doesn't restart. So if I load any profile even if I save the defaults to profile 1-6 it won't restart till I completely power down.

This issue made me think it was a boot issue, so I reinstalled windows 10. What I might do is reinstall Windows 7 and use it for a week to see if it happens then. But I don't think it's boot order if I'm using bios defaults when I install the OS at stock.

I had a MSI BBXPII and I tell you, that button was screwy ! Make sure it's definitely not pressed (though I admit I have no idea what your problem could be so am clutching straws somewhat!)

I think it lights up when pressed. Also make sure it's definitely disabled in the bios dude as you can activate it there too.

I also had a MSI Z77 G45 and that thing had it 'soft' in bios and if you enabled it it overclocked your overclock.

I just checked if it's been pressed/enabled and it's not
