Cleaning a case window

I'm not sure if this goes here but it's case related so here goes...

How do you guys clean your case window? They are lovely things that allow you to peer into your rig and see everything lit it all lovely but do you have a hard time like me keeping them free from dust after long periods of use.

Is there a solution available to clean them more effectively? Even my micro fibre cloth creates a static charge which just moves and clumps the dust to another area of the window, and any normal duster if your not careful can leave fine scratches in the direction you wipe.

I tried using a monitor spray and a piece of kitchen roll but it left smears I couldn't easy remove.

Any advice? Please enlighten me with your cleaning techniques ;)

I clean it with a microfiber towel, but the key to keeping it dust free is I use Weiman stainless steel cleaner on the inside after it's clean, it will also fill in any scratches that may be in the panel and make them disappear. Just spray it directly on the inside window and wipe it with a clean SOFT lint free towel, micro fiber is perfect. Don't wipe off all of the product, just smoothly redistribute it. You can also wipe down the entire case with Weiman to get rid of all the fingerprints and dust on it, makes it look like brand new. On the outside I spray the towel and wipe it over the exterior and dry off as much as I can.

You can also wipe the outside of the panel with a static remover if you like, but it's not absolutely necessary. To use this product, spray a soft lint free towel with it, fold the towel so that the spray is on the inside of the towel and not touching the case, and wipe over it lightly. Keep away from the intake filters as you want these to be electrostatically charged to grab the dust.

Simonize does a decent job at cleaning, but so does (a tiny drop of) detergent and water. The key to cleaning is getting it wet enough and then to polish after it has dried to get all residue off. The stainless cleaner will actually keep it dust free for months, and is used AFTER it is cleaned. It will also make a lot of the small scratches that poly, Plexiglas and acrylic get so easily, disappear. Just cleaning it will get it dusty again quickly.
The method described above will keep it cleaner a LOT longer than just cleaning it and leaving it dry. And less cleaning means less chances of adding new scratches.

A good way of cleaning and stop dust sticking is either a damp tumble dryer softener sheet, or a small drop of regular fabric softener on a non microfibre cloth ( they scratch like mad ) and just clean as normal. That's a good tip for cleaning TV, and monitor screens and stands, or glass even, it is ant static and works like a charm. I've been doing it for years on my TV and it can out last my desk for a dust for over a week, in that time my desk has been done every other day.
