Can't login to Hotmail

Hello,

I got up this morning and went to check my emails, however to my surprise my account has been blocked. There is a button to send a reactivation code to the recovery email that you set, unfortunately i no longer have access to that email address.

What should i do?

Hotmail is probably the worst thing to recover accounts from, is there a number or support email address you can email?

Also if it has been blocked I suspect someone has been using your account to send spam emails, so change any passwords.

I have tried posting on the "hotmail" Forums with no reply yet, and i will change my Password when i get access to my account again.

its just an email account you can always make another, unless its something importatn then contact hotmail directly, through online chat, forums or complain/issue form or whatever

Are you locked out or is it blocked?

could be locked out due to someone doing the 0day that was released and sold on a known script kiddie forum

it allowed attackers to change passwords, supposedly the kid who found it hijacked hacker@hotmail_com and some others for himself aswell as selling it to random kids for $2000

& selling accounts for $20

It has been patched now, might be worth contacting hotmail/windows live support and asking

Thanks for the replies, its all sorted now.

I contacted hotmail and they said it was a mistake.

This happened to me too recently, i got it back and found loads of emails had been sent with attachments that had bounced back and others had been sent to myself, so my account most likely got hacked. Decided to say screw hotmail and go with Gmail, hotmail is just sooo bad it's a joke. Tbh i should've ditched hotmail a long time ago.
