Build Refresh: Going Alphacool for CPU and GPU? opinions

Hey guys,
well, doing my build a small refresh. Since i'm not into changing my fullsystem to the new 8 series, i just got a 4790K ( good batch for what it seems ) and an GTX 1080Ti MSI Seahawk X.

So, right now i have a H105 push/pull and the seahawk x it's in push/pull too...

but i want to do a different project and change the full AIO stuff... so i was thinking on going with Alphacool Eisberg 360 and Eiswolf 240 ( CPU and GPU )

What do you guys think about these parts? Any good? better sticking with Corsair and leave the Seahawk as it is?

( Its not because i need it, just because i'm getting a new case, Air 740, to replace my old Air 540 and wanted to do a new project )

Right now my system is:
i5 4690K delided, 4.6Ghz @ 1.28v
32Gb HyperX Savage 2400
Samsung 960Pro M.2 512
2 x Samsung 840 Pro 128Gb, Raid 0
2 x Samsung 850 Evo 256Gb, Raid 0
Corsair H105 Push/Pull SP120s (going to change those for eLoop i think )
MSI 1080Ti Seahawk X w/ SP120s Push/Pull
2 x Corsair AF140 intake

My opinion here, but you've already invested a lot into the AIO and paying extra for the Sea Hawk. I do not think it's worth spending even more for a custom loop for not that much of a difference in cooling.

But if you want the look and you have the money to do it then I don't see why not. People have done less for just looks. Could always sell the AIO to remake some costs

Thanks NeverBackDown.

The issue is that i found some kind of "rust" in the H105 ... i was in a wtf moment right there :X

If the 1080Ti is on a single rad (not looked it up mate) then a double rad would help. It will be enough to remove any heat limitation and allow you to get the absolute most out of your card. You don't need a triple rad for a 4790k.

I am rather wary of Alphacool products if I am being honest. The cheaper (note I said cheaper, not cheap because none of it is) stuff looks a bit junky and their high end stuff also looks like it should be cheaper. They also commit the cardinal sin of using OEM parts that Phobya use which is a big no no to me.

I would go full on custom water or just leave it as it is. You do know you can buy triple AIOs right? that is probably the best solution if the Corsair is knackered. Shove one of them on your 4790k making sure it will fit any future upgrade and leave it there is the very sensible option. I have read a few horror stories about the Eisberg and Eiswolf not working properly and killing GPUs (one guy on here for example).

Stay away from the Eiswolf! So far I've had 3 defective units, and a 4th one where the pump seems to be dying (not performing at max RPM anymore).

1 unit the pump died.
1 unit was extremely under performing causing my graphics card to hit upwards 75C.
1 unit the cold plate wasn't touching the GPU properly causing a 1mm gap between the GPU die and coldplate.

You could say that I've just been very unlucky and there are probably plenty of success stories out there, but to me it seems these Eiswolf units took a major turd in quality control. The Eisbaer are good though, but I don't like them nevertheless :)
