Buffalo Raid unit

Strange things occured yesterday.

Had a 2T Buffalo thing to install, user wanted raid5 on it - fair enough.

Now I set it up and set it to format - on fat32 >.<

Realizing, I took a look at the unit and it showed 1.36tb, fat32..

How does it go that high ? Or is it just filesize limitations ?

Well I did check to see if any of the postings were of relevance but just typed in chinese.

I do however thanku for the information on Beijing`s watersystems, but alas it`s ALL spamage.

I would say it's a restriction on FAT32

Why didn't you go for NTFS?

lol I`ll be totally honest, the requester popped up and I clicked ok after the raid was setup.

There was a thing saying ntfs I`m sure, but I only thought about it after I left it formatting. (using some Buffalo tool thing)

Meh they`re using it ok. Got a freakin farm of them going atm cos of some political reason they aren`t using a dedicated storage space for all their stuff. Seems each program-in-title has their own farm. Madness imo.
