brand new RUSTY RAD!?!?!?

I just received a bunch of water cooling equipment in the mail. One piece being the Magicool Slim Profile 2X140mm Radiator. I noticed that it didn't seem to be well made (some of the fins were already bent when I took it out of the box), and it didn't seem sturdy. Still, it is the right size for what I am trying to achieve here, and I believe it will still work.

My main concern is that some of the fins are 'rusted' or at least not fully painted. Is it safe to buy some type of spray paint (high heat stuff - like for an outdoor grill), and repaint it?

The fins on radiators are never fully painted , it would reduce the thermal transfer compatibility too much .

I had a similar issue once , but my fins were painted a little better than yours .

I cant really tell if its rust or if its just the copper showing threw the misc paint coat .

Wait for more advise from other members !

Cheers !

You shold thinck about RMA .

Yeah, they would have to send me a new one, but honestly, I don't think it is really rusted. I believe it is the copper coming through. Copper doesn't rust anyway, it just tarnishes.

I think it will still work, no? I don't want to RMA it due to the time I would need to wait and the trouble of going through the process.

Is there any reason why this wouldn't work still? The fins aren't really too bent (just a little), and I was able to adjust them with a knife to straighten them out.
