I was looking at some fans lately, and I read that someone (I forgot your name, if you read this, I'm sorry

) that he didn't like the SickleFlows that much on his radiator. I went about looking for some alternatives for myself, as that's what I was planning to use. Then, I saw the Spectres and fell in love with the fact that they have a 2 pin lead for LED control. That is one of the things I look for. (I plan to solder a 2 pin lead on to my spare 200mm fan that came with my HAF 922). Does anybody have these on a radiator? I read that the CFM rating is only 52 vs my current SickleFlows are 69.69.

tl;dr

Are Bitfenix Spectres good on radiators (XSPC RX)? Or should I use them as intake/exhaust fans or get something else altogether.

They don't move any air... at all

I've read that the silverstone air penetrator fans are meant to be pretty good for rads and intake, although I've not used them myself.

Cool. I really like the LEDs in the Spectres though. Damn those APs are expensive.

I only used them in mine because they are super quiet, but they dont move a massive amount of air tbh.

Scythe gentle typhoons are a popular choice with a decent price tag.

GTs are sold out everywhere in Canada. The terms of sale for sale to resellers are crazy. Mostly that there are huge minimum orders and that they need to pre-pay 6 months in advance. It's hard for NCIX to keep any in stock.

I just change for them from Xigmatek cristal on my rad.They are great, temps are 8C lower then on Xigmatek and very, very quiet.

NOTE:I was using Xigmatek fans at 40% of speed as at 100% they were too noisy for me, now I am using Bifenix on 100% speed and they are more quieter and efficient.

My temps at idle (i7 920@4 GHz) was 42-44C and under Prime95 60-62C on Xigmatek .Now I have 37-38C idle and under Prime95 50-52C.

IMHO spectres suck, the thing is with better fans you can always lower their RPM and get the same cooling and noise levels, but if ever needed you can turn the fans up again
