Best way forward... 4770k/Z87 Pro and ridding myself of AI Suite junk!

I recently bought a new mobo/cpu. My old machine died a terrible death and I was right in the middle of work with a tight deadline so had no time to think too much.

I ended up installing all the AI suite stuff (over the top of the old uninstalled AI suite from my old P8 P67 Pro/2500k stuff).

I'm really REALLY not a fan of AI Suite, it wasn't so hot back with the old machine and it seems even worse now...

It randomly crashes.

I had issues with fan speed settings in BIOS not working in windows (leading to the machine turning it's fans off in windows in one instance!)

It seems even after uninstalling AI Suite some stuff remains and runs, the fan one specifically but what about other things?

So the current question is can I easily get rid of ALL the AI Suite stuff from both the old and new installs, and also what are the actual defaults that the 4770k should run in BIOS?
Does the default reset settings on the Z87 Pro represent what Intel say this chip should run with?

Basically I want a blank canvas and run a mobo OC but I'm not even sure the basic mobo settings are right because my chip has never throttled back properly (always run at 3.5ghz+ is that right?) though maybe this is due to AI Suite doing weird things?

Any advice on how to bin all the AI Suite junk fully and for good much appreciated!

Cheers

Dave

do you get any errors that come up?

Things like "can not load asacpi.dll" ?

You could try using MaceCraft. Or even, re-install AI Suite, and get Revo-uninstaller, and uninstall AI suite through that.

NB,
Not used these programs before, but know of people that have had similar problems.

back up windows then reinstall is the best way to rid any problems...

Try CCleaner(far better than revo(which will never delete entirely))

Hi guys,

Thanks for those ideas.

I get no errors but AI Suite is shutting down after freezing up now and again and I worry that it might just be doing weird hardware related things, either by bad design or through installation/conflicts with other software (yep, it froze and crashed out just now again hehe)

My current plan was to rebuild in a new case with a fresh Win7 install so that might still be the best plan then... and avoid the AI Suite install altogether from the start!
Just it can't happen for a while due to other jobs :(

I'll give those un-installers a shot at the weekend and report back!
