dont talk such utter rubish please he cant have even been trying your little 1.4 screamming its @ss off vs a 2litre gt tdi with 2x as much torque and probaly nearign 2x the bhp. will pull away from you in mid range no trouble what so ever.
you might have him off the line but then it was a 1.4echo tech pretend sri not the real 1.8sri . so i smell poo poo my dads 2t passat would whoop your sri and thats only a 115bhp 1.9 model let alone his last skoda octavi sport with 170bhp (close to what the golf has power to weight)
he said he was trying afterwards, and bowed down to me ...
and he isnt one to admit failure easiely (its someone i know, not exactly a friend, an aquaintence)
and maybe, but the 1.4 isnt that much slower than the 1.8, not really...
how did you knock ur numberplate off? and scratch the side of a parked van ? and ims ure it cant have been that slow? did you report it to your inshurance?
and second one that is no exscuse. you could have been finned / points for driving without due care and attention for that .
and at the end of the day if someone rear ended my bike or one of my dads cars then he would put it throught the inshurance even if it was a crack // split . it wasnt there before. for example a bloke reveresed into his bmw 325 . cracked numebr plate etc all it looked like because it all sprung back. underneath all the foam was fecked the mountin point had split. what looked like nothing tuenrd out to be a 2k claim for new bumper / headlamps / numberplate and paint....
remember one thing your young with 2 accidents on your claims and youw ant nice cars. then be ready to pay thru your @ss for inshurance. simple as.
nooo, the van, that was moving, knocked the numberplate off the front of my car number two, if you look back at page 1 of this thread, you'll see the scrape on my numberplate, and the van i was refering to was the one that was moving, no damage was done to any of the stationary vehicles...
i did report it to my insurance, i had to as soon as i got 'sued'
i was driving with due care and attention, i slammed on, i tried my best to stop, i even tried to steer...but no, no abs = locked up...fail
i like my seat, and ill be keeping it for a few years
ill also add as general advise, insurance companies HATE people who change cars more often than underwear...
needless to say im not liked on that front either...
