AXA

i wish.. no its a 5 litre australian home grown v8 1997 vt ss being sitting in the garage for 2 years now you guys do realizes that your vauxhauls are copys of our holdens and hsv's

vauxhaull monaro was a actually a hsv gto...im not gonna go further on this because i have a strong passion about holdens and how they are 'distributed' across the world

well do you have all of the vauxhall range across there then?

whats vauxhall to us, is opel on the european continent

we have the vauxhall:

corsa

astra

vectra

signum

insignia

monaro

zafira

meriva

agelia

and more but those are the main ones, corsa and astra and vectra being the most popular.

Monaroes ours plus the astra and the vectra honestly I'm more about the monaros but hey it's not just the uk look at the usa the Pontiac gto was exactly a Holden monaro the only reason why u guys have our cars is coz of gm and all the money that goes to vauxhaull actually a percentage if it goes to Holden because Holden sells there designs to everyone around the worl so essentially vauxhall is Holden in the uk

Lol you know your cars

I've had a little citroen AX for a year and a bit now. No claims, no crashes

I can't stress how important for a first car it is to not crash, get as small a engine as possible and care nothing about how good it looks. First year was £1100.

Second year (1 year no claims) is £700 using a multicar quote with admiral

I'm looking at upgrading to a 1.4 vauxhall astra 94' plate car tomorrow. A bit safer and a bit comfier
smile.gif

Will be £860 for the year fully comp.

Make sure you try adding others to the quote too.

Mine works out cheaper adding both my mum and gran to the car as named drivers even if they will never drive it. Im still the main driver, yet its £200 cheaper 0.o

Getting one like this

Gonna get it looking sweet

you'd be better looking at a mk4 astra, cheaper on insurance, my 1.4 one was a bloody good car too, it held together even with the abuse i put it through lol

This ones for sale local for £470 80k miles and just had new cam belt (owned by a mechanic) so should be alright as an upgrade - slightly older than my ax but more of a car than a deathtrap

wont be anywhere neer as good on fuel as your AX tho, those old astras has brilliant engines when it came to torque and power, but they were awful for fuel consumption...

so good luck with that

not to mention they are heavier too...

no, it will be geared more towards acceleration, vauxhalls always are

you'd be better looking at somthing like a peugeot 106, a saxo, ...

if your bothered about mpg, get a saxo 1.5 d

they are BRILLIANT for fuel

Why complain?

youve both had crashes. points on your liscence wht you expect . your a liability ....

im 21 with 5 years no claims on bikes. and i can ride a machine that will out preform most of your cars well not most ALL for a measley £212 a year ....

and a 350z at 12k yeah why ?

because you wraped a pug 306 your hardly gonna be safe ina 350z.

and 'in my mums name' whats all thsi about. you know thats inshurance fraud and you can go to jail for it / loose your liscence as your driving unishured.... because its YOUR car not your mums so the inshurance is void.

hells sometimes i do wonder. some people have 0 brains. if you cant see why its so expensive.....

hells if i crashed a few bikes and wrote them off id expect my inshurance to rocket but ... i dont

hence havign a cb600 hornet 90bhp 150mph 0-60 in sub 3 seconda on the back wheel

AND

a zx12r 196bhp at the wheel . 0-60 faster than you can say 'eh' 150mhp in 10 seconds and a top speec of 190odd costs me £212. why ? because i havent had any crashes and i have no claims....

as go compare the market says

'simples'

and how cant a astra be better at mpg than a AX?

4 speed Ax = 75-80mph flat out

astra 5 speed = 110-120 flat out.

60mph cruise = next to no revs....

and if you want mpg and cheap

metreo 1.5 diesel . 60+ mpg and dirt cheap.

even better a c2/c3 /206 1.4hdi also £35 a year car tax ....

i never wrote any cars off, infact the damage to my cars, both times, was 0 ...

the 3 points, that wasnt my fault either...

my insurance is in my name and has been from day 1

and as for bikes

well, if i ever need a new liver...just need to wait

and your not taking into accout there that the AX will be like 500kg, and the astra will be over 1000kg ...

and weight makes ALL the difference when it comes to mpg.

my seat at the moment gets a real 70mpg if i drive it carefully ...which i tend to, due to not having much money

30 a year road tax ...

so if there was 0 damage why is there a claim there?

it doesnt matter.. if there is a claim there then it shows as a liability no matter what.

i slid my zxr400 down the road on ice and i claimed on helmet and leather cover for 2k worth of new gear. nothing on the bike and my premium went up why ? because it shows im a liability and im likely to crash.

3 points not my fault?

what are they for speeding? whow as driving? so who is to blame? ogh did i mention i have 6 points on my liscence from speeding? 96 on the motorway and 44 ina 30 ?

as for liver? umm mine is no use to any one
wink.gif

and weight = mpg?

so tell me this how does my dads 2 tonne Vw passat diesel get 56mpg?

or how his 12 seater renault trafic does 40 ish ?

0 damage to MY car, but i managed to damage theirs...

nope, my 3 points were a CU50 ...go look it up

because one is a diesel, one is probably a petrol

fuel type makes a difference, but irrelevent of a fuel type, the heavier the car, the more fuel it will use.

you got three points and it wasnt your fault??

I would have gone to court rather than take three points that dont belong to me?????

CU50 Causing or likely to cause danger by reason of load or passengers points 3

not your fault hmmmmmm

you got three points and it wasnt your fault??

I would have gone to court rather than take three points that dont belong to me?????

that wouldnt have worked

i shouldnt say it isnt my fault, i should rephrase that

i dont deserve them

i got a CU50, which is 'dangerous load causing potential danger to driver and/or passanger' because my idiot of a friend sat on the windowcill of the passanger door, with a cop car behind me, as soon as i saw what he was doing, i pulled over, rozzers stopped next to me, slapped with 3 points, but he spent half an hour looking through a book for somthing, anything, to get me with ...ended up with that

hardly my fault

i argued my case

he wasnt having none of it.

It was your fault.

Your motor vehicle. your freinds. Your car.

anything that happens in your car is your fault....

also

dont you wish you could have a car preform like this ..... (must add not my bike / or my dads in video ours is faster
wink.gif
with full Ti exhaust / air filters / power comader )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNvchMtL1Ok

Well what can I say, your friends bloody stupid. How did he do that with a seatbelt on?

Your responsible for your passengers so cant complain at the points really.

Lesson learnt i guess. ( expensive one if it affected your premiums ) Four years endorsement?
