AMD 64 4400x2 Skt 939

Hey guys,

Was wondering what sort of OC I can expect from an AMD 64 4400x2 Skt 939. I'm really sorry but atm I'm at work and can't run CPU-Z to tell you the core model etc, as I know that's a factor, but afaik it's a 90nm process core.

It's on stock cooling atm, just sold my Thermaltake 939 cooler to someone who needed it more than me (he bought an OEM 939 chip and forgot to order a CPU fan lol), plus it was so friggin loud it was scary.

If anyone can recommend the best 939 air OCing fan I'd appreciate it also, but I'd like a quieter one. Had watercooling before but a pipe went and

ed coolant over my gfx card :| So been put off WC for another while :D

Thanks in advance.

Couple of my OC's in here

mine too:

Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 939 (89W), CCBWE 0604MPM

Clock: 2.63GHz

FSB: 239MHz

Mem timings: 3-4-4-8 1T 1:1

CPU Voltage: 1.48v

Mem. Voltage 2.7v

Load Temp: 50°C

Cooling: XP-90 + Panaflo

I once upon a time had an x2 4400+ on my current motherboard, and the stupid thing hit a brick wall like you wouldn't believe at 2.65ghz. The chip was the only thing stopping me, without a doubt.

2.6 on air with a Scythe. Load temp a hair under 60 unfortunately.

Think Llwyd`s gone above 2.6.
