Basically Dialaphone want £6.99 a month for insurance which seems a bit patchy and expensive

Is 3rd party insurance any better or worth it? If so, which company have you used?

.Never really thought of phone insurance, they're not worth the payments when you can just buy a brand new phone for the price of the insurance

I get mine through my banks additions account which makes it work out pretty cheap along with gadget insurance and various other lil perks.

That'd be the thing to look out for imo. An insurance that would include the likes of ur phone/gadgets as part of it's cover anyway.

Tis good... They cover my phone, my PSP and now add an extra year warranty on to my NC20.

Also get free overdraft (not that I ever use the thing) and umm can't remember what else for like £7 a month.

Pay a lil more and get free travel insurance thrown in along with free airport lounge entry.

Yup, the policies offeed by phone companies are a complete rip off.

Even if they deign to pay out, you need to spend about as much as the phone is worth on administration fees. I put the money in my ISA instead and just buy a new phone when I need one.

But if i lose the phone etc. on contract il end up carrying on paying for the contract (minus the phone!)

which bank are you with? sounds a good deal with all those extras

I'm with Barclays. I dunno what they are currently offering but it can't be too different. I opened this thing quite a while back. Well worth a look though.

Another option could be adding it to any contents insurance you might have already. This can be fairly reasonable depending on how much the handset's worth of course.
