Yeah well for some reason somethings holding me back when it comes to beching on Futuremark tests. Dunno what it is. It doesn't affect games so I'm not bothered in the slightest. I still kick out 128FPS on the CS:S stress test @ res 1280 x 1024 so as long as my games play smooth, I don't care!!

Thanx M8 , thats where the DFI NF4 truely shines out . To get the damn thing up and running is like making a vestial virgin agree on having a one night stand with you , but once u get it going , well it changes in the most high priced callgirl who is quite skilled in her trade . Ohh and the gskills help too :yumyum: .

Yea but its only an x800xl , at stock as well. I mean a 6800 GT is classified to be higher than that card .

I doubt that , I think the nVidia cards can outbench ati cards for 3dmark2k3 and 2k5 unless its the x850xt PE of course. But im pretty sure your 6800 Gt will score better than my x800xl in 3dmark2003 .

errr i wouldnt go that far , i have owned both cards in the past and while nvidia have a bulky feeling to them , the radeon cards are small , powerful , and just convey the feeling of silent performers to me . I love both companies , but just depends on my mood. :wavey:

Uhhh , i hate to break your bubble my friend , but with filtering turned on , ATI cards whoop Nvidia's ass in terms of picture quality. Nvidia has to rely on modified drivers to get the equivalent pic quality.

I've always had that feeling about ATI as well. I like how they use less power, only need a small gpu cooler, and are silent. ATI has a very stable history too. This is why I went with the x800 pro over the 6800 gt when they were first out, besides the fact I got it for $360.

I like the offerings I've already seen from both companies at this point.... They need to get some good near production proto's ready so that we can get some reviews and real world benchies. Then I shall make my decision
