X3 reunion

Hi guys I picked up X3 reunion today. I havent played X or X2, but the game was only £5 with the Exspantion pack. I loved EVE, had to stop playing it due to Just not having time for a game like that. But X3 seemed like a good singleplayer game to get into. However HOW THE BLOODY HELL DO YOU GET INTO IT.

I have just started a new game and selected the Normal Game. And i have been thrown into the deep end here no tutorial of anysort, and i now have to go look for some Cock or cahck or what ever it is, and I have a squadron of planes with me. Only thing is i have just about worked out forward and backwards. But how the hell do you play this game. It realy throws you in the deep end.

Any X3 players care to share some tips. I have no idea on how to navigate one gate from enougher at the momeant lol.

I bought X3: Terran Conflict, could never get into it, mainly because i spent 30mins following a guy through about 6 different jump gates to infiltrate his station, only to find out i didn't have any weapons on my ship to defend myself when i got there. I also found my self accidently ejecting from my ship and floating around in space. Thats good though because you can make any other ships you own follow you around and switch between them.

Sorry, a bit off topic there. From what i have been told by friends, it takes just as much dedication and takes over your life just as much as eve does

it took me forever to figure the controls and i cant remember them now. All i know is there is some jump drive you have that lets you travel very fast to get places quicker.

I'd advise looking at a few vids as well on youtube. Hope you can get into it.
