Worth upgrading my 580 to a 670?

I think the title says most of it. Would it be worth upgrading my N580GTX Twin frozr III to a GTX 670 ?

My 580 cost around 420 GBP a couple of months ago (converting from IKR) and the 670 is around 380 GBP here now. I can probably sell the 580 for about 250 GBP now so the final cost to me would be around 130 GBP to upgrade to a 670.

Question is, is that worth it?

If you can sell your old 580 for a good price I would say it would be more than worth it.

Dont think you can get 230£ for the gtx580.In denmark you can get one 2nd hand for 170-180£.

But i think the gtx580 is still good enough for nearly any gameplay.

Wouldn't have thought you could get £250 for the 580 now, I paid £225 for mine back in april.

It depends on how much can you sell your 580 for... There is a little performance gain though. Something like 15-25%? Is it worth the hassle?

Yeah, not going to get much for a 580 now, I have seen them going for as low as £180. I doubt you would actually notice the performance difference either, there will be one but I doubt you would physically notice it.

I'm quite sure I can sell my 580 for around £250. I see why you would think that's a bit much but I doubt that new ones cost over £420 in your countries. And remember that the 670 will cost at least £380

I have no doubt that you can sell it for £250 as ive seen them sell for more quite recently im in the process of selling my gtx 480 sli to get me a gtx 670

As for how much your rig cost i would say off the top of my head you paid around the £2k mark

ask yourself if theres any game or program you need to upgrade the gpu for

in a synthetic benchmark the 670 is 14% in 3D Mark Vantage and 23% in 3DMark11 - Performance better

than the 580. if you are having gaming issues with low FPS or you seem to be loosing the advantage in

display, you might wanna upgrade. but for now, if eveything is to your liking, you might consider staying

with what you have and enjoy it. the price point is is going to stablize soon, but not now.

Not worth it IMO. There's nothing the 580 can't run. Seems like it would just be for the e-peen.
