Worklog Battlefield 4 - Thermaltake Element Q

i like the front and the top a lot, but i'd maybe consider to cover the side up, it doesn't look too good.
also the PSU looks like a loaded diaper
nice progress though.

And to celebrate Christmas Eve, I made a "goodies for myself"...

Merry christmas to all!

Loving the tags there. Not a fan of the stickers though, they very much dirty the clean acrylic. I suppose if it's a sponsor thing, you can't get round it.

Sorry for the delay, but with the holidays of Christmas and New Year, I ended up leaving to post the news that there are:

I cut the acrylic for the installation of the GTX 780:

And my cat Willie supervising the work:

And to start the job... engraving all the cuts made for the installation of the GTX 780:

I hope you enjoyed, I count on everyone's opinions!

I love where you put the GPU. Considering that the cables are sticking out of the case, they attract much attention. It would look so much better if they could be braided. Don't know if this is possible, but that's just an idea. So far so good, I would say.

Creative idea but the GPU looks much too clean in comparison to the case and I don't like how you can see the cables tbh.

And more news ... now will be much more frequent.

The case with Dogtags:

Making a preliminary assembly of the psu to test (is not the end, I'm just waiting for the sleeves reach so do not crucify me... these wires will be sleeved... can rest easy):

With a slim fan provisional:

And on the front panel, to help the flow to the radiator fan, I installed a sheet of 5mm acrylic and also some parts carbon steel 6mm thick:

But this does not help much "higher" on the front panel to assist in ventilation, so I will make a further amendment which will be the next update!

I count on everyone's opinion!

Thanks to all who follow!

Oh, this looks definitely very promising. Are you going to do some work on the GPU's cooler's
acrylic cover as well? I think it would be kind of cool if it matched the rest of the build.

Looking forward to the sleeving :).

I'm thinking seriously about doing something ... but are still sparse ideas, I have to stop thinking about the possibilities and focus on what I want to do effectively.

The sleeve is the next step, in fact, already started, but I will only post in the next post... to maintain the order of the posts... ^_^

More new stuff!

As the front panel was holding much ventilation and cooling of the custom Watercooler, so I decided to make a stand for ventilation increased and worked, down 20 ° to maximum temperature, which struck before 90 º with 4670K to 4.2GHz and now beats 68 / 70 º celsius with the same "clock".

Here are some photos:

The dogtags served perfectly to hide the cables, but I intend to make the sleeve in them anyway ... only depends on the time ... it has to be ready for the Campus Party Brazil 2014.

I hope you enjoyed, the next step will be the sleeves of the power supply, cables even more people!

Well from where you started from with that thermaltake case i think you have done quite a nice job...afew more tweeks here and there maybe..but like i say from where you started with that god aweful case ..you done ok :)

Thanks, actually this case is very complicated to work, if not "reshape" he hardly has to do... :banghead:

Glad you're enjoying the work. ^_^

'm Slowly arranging the parts that were bad and try to improve ... but time is short, so I'll do as much as possible with minimal time left... :smileyshot:

Sorry for the delay... but today I will introduce you to the next step of the project, in fact, are "details" missing...

First the sleeves, which are made using paracord and military style desert.

All material Tidy:

1504173_717291164957434_2107225406_o.jpg

First cables with sleeve:

1557349_717291154957435_1574907537_o.jpg

Half of the 24 pins already sleeved:

All with sleeve and the PSU open:

885372_717291708290713_99918374_o.jpg

Now closed the PSU and the new fan:

1540270_717291594957391_1581708025_o.jpg

Starting to make the effects of "scratchy" at PSU:

1524097_717291918290692_1747755747_o.jpg

The "supervisor" to see if everything is right and in its place:

859284_717292574957293_181585848_o.jpg

Now only missing the clips to share with the connectors and finish the job with the sleeve once and for all (in the power supply is almost ready, but the PCI-e cables still missing sleeve):

859758_717292624957288_115255711_o.jpg

I hope you enjoyed the type of sleeve that I chose and I hope that in the end, stay with a quite stylish look and to match the project.

Thanks to everyone who has commented and followed the project, I'm happy with every comment of you, because to me everyone's opinion is always important!
