win 7 vs 8.1 (I have both)

8 works prefect. Start ups and shutdowns are quite a bit faster on new hardware. Storage pools work great. Simply disable the tiles and charm bars and it looks and acts the same as 7. Add in something like startisback and most wouldn't know the difference.

This is exactly my opinion^^

Well thats complaining on behalf of other people, but I guess that it's a fair enough point. I, myself, like it, but thats just me. Eventually, you just get tired of an OS. Well at least I do.
I prefer OSX to w8. I use the three main os every day (osx, 7 and xp). 7 is the new xp, w8 is the new vista and whatever comes next is hopefully good. Not that it bothers me as I'm hoping steamOS takes off.

By the new vista I mean its hated because its windows 8, not because its the worse OS ever. Although alot of it is stupid design though. The server version (2012) has tiles as well.

I heard someone who described it as a "tick tock". That means that vista or 8 is the tick and 7 or ??? is the tock. I think this was said by LTT, but Im not sure
