which notebook ram should i go for??

iv got a HP 6710b and its got its 1 gig it came with,looking at upgrading with another two gig to make it 3 gig,iv come across these two,that are at a reasonable price,which one should i chose though?? are they both as good as each other or is one better then the other in some ways,cheers

It depends on the timings. I have the corsair and its fine for me. Both are the same speed (and the same as whats in ur laptop already)

yeh the corsair's cheaper to,is the 1 gig hp ram that comes stock with the laptop 667mhz???

because i know u cant run ram thats slower or something when it comes to notebooks.....

according to dabs yeah its the same speed, although I would just check the HP website. Also acroding to dabs you hav 1 x 1gb atm.

I have 2 x 1gb corsair value PC5300 and the timings @ 667 are 5-5-5-15. Remember that your getting the 2gb stick so it may be different.

Yep get the corsair (or whatever happens to be cheapest), performance RAM isn't really needed in a laptop as you won't be OCing and you can't change timings or speed etc. Just make sure they match correctly to what you have already.
