Which Lake CPU should I get?

First of all, none of you have any business what so ever with what I do with my own money nor spend it on.

Then don't ask for our help or advice on a forum. Sorry dude, I'm not being rude but we're just looking out for you. If you don't want people's opinions then just go ahead and do whatever feels good, you don't need permission.

You asked me recently if it was worth going from a 6 core to an 8 core via PM. I told you unless you were utilising the cores then don't bother, you were cool with that advice.

Seriously, it sounds like you have already made your mind up so I don't know why you need assurance. Like I said, just do what feels right for you.

So there's your decision. Buy the 7700.

Also I'd have to agree with AlienALX - if you're going to ask for advice on whether to spend extra cash on something versus something else nearly the same then you will get advice saying either; Do it, Don't do it, Don't waste your money, or if you've got money to burn why not? The other advice is also valid - Ryzen is out very soon. You already have the processor so just get a new motherboard?

If you ask for advice you should expect a lot of differing opinions. It's up to you what you do with that advice.

I'm sorry Chrazey but don't post questions if you don't want to hear one of the possible answers. That's what this ultimately boils down to man.

Everything in here was said in jest or to further a point, and you've massively overreacted, and again tried to point out that 'webmaster' means anything, it doesn't. I help out Tom with some of the more technical stuff that he doesn't have the time or expertise for, and keep an eye on the site and forums in my spare time. That doesn't mean my opinions get filtered for your benefit, or that I can't joke and laugh in here. You have plenty of jibes in my direction, despite prior warnings and are always trying your luck (and ignoring admin PM's/warnings) you're still here. We're all friends here, people are just busting your balls, you do it, we all do it. Suck it up.

You wanted people's opinions on a forum and you got them dude, that's all that happened. We can't filter our opinions based on your expectations fella. You change parts almost as often as Dice does P @ Dice), so yet another "should I do this despite knowing it's not really a wise idea" just got the usual response of "what's the point", you haven't explained any of these oh-so-powerful reasons, personal or otherwise, so what do you expect us to do?

As others have said, it sounds like you've made up your mind already and were just looking for justification or assurance, unfortunately you didn't get that.

We are all a family here so we do need to remember the point of chatting is to discuss and debate things. I do think youve been a bit OTT on this one Chrazey.

You can obvs spend your dollar on what you like, the boys are just trying to help out.
