Which 27" monitor?

Hi guys

I'm in the process of building a third system and need help choosing the new monitor to go with it. Incase anybody wonders why a third system in my home? I built one for me which is x58 based, and one for the misses lol. Ive just decided to move on from my ageing x58 system and build a new system lol anyway back to the monitor thing lol. I've done a bit of looking around and I've seen two monitors that look appealing and was wondering what other people would choose between the two. They are

ASUS PB Series PB278Q 60hz 1440p
ASUS VG Series VG278HE 144hz 1080p

I also thought it was worth putting the question to the forums here as one is 60hz with higher resolution compared to 144hz with less resolution to find out people's takes on it.

the only differance ive noticed with a higher ref rate is that blured things still look a little more crisp when they are being moved quickly if that makes sense

personally if your gpu will be able to handle 1440p then id go for that, but if you want it a little crisper in fast paced things go for higher res
