Where Did All the Folders Go?

I've started up again but have to have my case's front panel off and my fans at 100% to keep my cpu below 70c :(

Is card oc'ed?

Gigabyte lists

Boost: 1746 MHz/ Base: 1556 MHz in OC Mode
Boost: 1721 MHz/ Base: 1531 MHz in Gaming

Whilst folding it sits just under 1900mhz (1885ish) with most wu's, the odd one makes the clocks fluctuate from just under 1900 down to say 1775mhz.

Other than the factory clocks above i haven't dabbled any further, my ppd could actually be higher but i'm only running the card on pci-e 2.0 & from what i've seen on another forum there's a 8.295% improvement with the 1070 going from pci-e 2.0 to pci-e 3.0.

Looking at the results in the link below some are pushing over 2100mhz on their 1070's...

Thanks, so PPD looks to be in the upper 500K PPD range. Is card oc'ed? Been thinking of a 1070, but just haven't hit the buy button yet.....

Blah, what's your 1080 doing?

706k according to FAHControl. It's not completely 24/7 as I pause folding when playing wow. I'm just using stock clocks.

Hi

I fired up my new and improved H440 fully water-cooled build with 2xMSI GTX 1070 Gaming X cards and wanted to test everything full out for a while. What better way than FAH. I wish I could run this 24/7, but my lovely wife gets annoyed now that my desk is back in a corner of our bedroom. She does not like that it heats up the room. I am also concerned I may need to mod the H440 to have a bit better airflow to the 2 x 360 radiators. I was stunned that without any fuss it said I would be getting 1.4 million points a day

If you are interested here is a link to the build log H440 Hero Redux

I hope to be folding again more full time soon

A very impressive build!:)
You may want to try folding on the GPUs only to minimize heat output, PPD from the cards will probably increase some with a ton less heat. CPU folding is hardly worth the electricity cost anymore IMO, none of my CPUs are folding.

I feel the same way, just not worth it anymore to fold on CPUs.

As the title says. Where are all the OC3D folders? Currently the stats are only showing 15 active folders:(

I will come back soon. I'll fold with my GTX 1080 for a bit at times. Unfortunately I can't seem to download the FAH client right now. Maybe the system's down ATM.

But as it gets colder in my room I will be folding more and more... ;)

A part time 1080 would be a welcome addition to the team!!

For some reason my heating in my apartment doesn't seem to work just yet in the way it's supposed to. Luckily for the team I suppose. The single GTX 1080 even @ 2100 MHz and 1093mV (100% stable) doesn't heat up my water cooling setup in order to warm up my room and apartment enough, so I added 10 cores from my CPU...

that way the power consumption is now at about 550W and my water-temperature now at least hovers around the 30°C mark.

My GPU load is only at around 90% though and falls to 0% for a second or two every so often. I seem to remember this being the case with some of the WUs and it's not related to my settings, correct? I have 2 threads dedicated to the GPU F@H client, and one is at full load because of that. I don't know if I have disable HT maybe to get to 100% because it appears that my GPU is under-utilised. I have a Core i7 4930k @ 4.4 GHz, so I doubt that the CPU (even one thread alone) would bottleneck the F@H GPU client's performance...

Any advice?

Well a few days of folding and I even got to become one of the top contributors of the team. I left my PC folding while I was busy with some work abroad, so it folded 24/7 for about a hand full of days. Unfortunately, I do need my rig again, and I will become a temporary folder again. Also the heating in my apartment seems to have been fixed which is a cheaper way to get warm than with folding on a gaming rig, which annoys me during the night because I have it in my bedroom...

But hey, it did fold over 5 million points. Not too bad, not bad at all...

I am quite surprised! My 1080 @ 2100 MHz but with a disabled HT on the 4930k seems to run way better than before with similar clocks however with HT and even the CPU folding. Apparently, the GPU got a little bottlenecked by being able to utilize only one thread. Who knew a 4930k @ 4.4 GHz with HT could be a bottleneck for a 1080 for folding purposes...

So, i have got my part replaced and installed finally, i have folded for a few hours on GPU to see how i get on. Need to enter pass key to get bonus poionts I believe but need to stop current units - HELP as i cannot seem to cancel them, could someone please explain how to do it.

Cheers

Why do you need to cancel them? Just let them finish. The only way to cancel is to shut down folding then delete the work from the work folder. When you restart the client it will see there is no current work and download a new WU to work on.

thats what i will have to do as it has completely frozen on the CPU WU. Away for 2 weeks now so the GPU will not finish with points neither :(
