Where Did All the Folders Go?

Hallo mates ;)

Just getting back, but what do you need to start folding ? Not done it before, so need some information on this point. As my office is almost done, so will have room to play whit.

You can head over to http://folding.stanford.edu to get the client. Our team number is 98860 and you can use anything you want for the user ID.

You will want to get a passkey as well for bonus points. You can find that here: http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/getpasskey.py

We are up 19 active folders now so some progress in the right direction!

Thanks to the new people that have joined us or restarted folding.:)

LOL, I just realized that since I stopped letting my PC go to sleep it also stopped folding. My bad everyone. I'll get back on the ball.

Let me get into the new office and settled and Ill get this on the list of videos to add to the ever growing list.

The old school boys will need to start trying to be more active in the forums if possible though, helps keep the awareness there.

Last EOC update showed 21 active folders and just short of 3 million 24hr team PPD!!:D That is about a 500k PPD gain from what we have been doing.

Keep up the good work and welcome back to Oseth and twistedgamerz!

I have been out for a long time due to not having a decent enough rig and electricity costs etc.

However I have just bought the first part in my new build- a GTX 970, when I get a new PSU, MB, RAM and CPU I will connect up so I can make a start, the case and other nice to haves will have to wait

Welcome back dude!

A GTX 970 is a great GPU folding card.

Three of my five rigs are caseless. No wasted money, much easier to work on, and with far fewer cooling issues.

So GPU has arrived and came bundled with a Samsung Evo SSD, all I need now is the guts to connect them all up and away I go. Looking at trying to have them all by the end of April - but don't hold your breath :)

No signal to monitor from my 970! no folding for me yet then.

As soon as I connect it to the monitor cable, the fans twitch and I get no signal to the monitor which I think is due the really old MB and a very out of date bios. I will be ordering mb / cpu and ram shortly to get it working (touch wood)

main rig has been up running for a few weeks now. also have 2/3 of my netbooks/laptops running 3rd should be up soon wont get much points from them but it all helps

Got enough power delivery?

EVGA 650 G2 should be enough for what I am using. It also gives the same error message when I connect a 8600GT, hence why I think it is the MB. Tried monitor into my laptop with no problems.

Asus ROG Crosshair almost 10 years old now! looking for best deals on skylake bundles to order so I can get up and running.
