We're out out - The Brexit Thread

I get the funny side but it's also true number 10 should of had a plan, oh wait that did everybody storms off and sulks, maybe we should have Nicola Sturgeon for PM she has more backbone than anyone in government right now

I fail to see anyone in British parliament with a backbone. Hasn't been one since Thatcher.

If she was in power now I don't think we would be in the EU even with out the referendum, My mum remembers her saying about the EU "I've been mislead"
Been looking at Nicola Sturgeon and I think that Scottish independence is more important to her than being in the EU, which makes me wonder how bad a deal would she take just so she can get Scotland free or will it really be free under the EU. I could see the Euro currency being part of that deal

And on that note, I am seeing the GBP continue to fall against the dollar.

Just compared it to my own currency too

1.00 GBP = 11.3521 NOK
British Pound ↔ Norwegian Krone
1 GBP = 11.3521 NOK 1 NOK = 0.0880893 GBP

And still falling. Above is just mid market rates

That could be good news for UK exports which will provide growth ;)

Trouble is we have a government with no idea what to do and making thing worse, either start talks or just get the bottle to tell everyone no we're just going to ignore the referendum.

Though I do have an idea it's deliberate so they can say look we told you

For now yes, but if it doesnt recover and you get the expected 5% export tax it could be painful.

that being said, you could go tit for tat and impost an import tax as well, but isnt that what you are trying to avoid?

Here is an interesting read based on the financial aspects

RBS Shares :
73% owned by the taxpayer
Market cap was £35bn on Thursday and it is now at £25bn and falling. Other bank shares are falling too.

Sturgeon is using this as fuel to mock Boris aka project farce for his claim that the pound and the market was stable. Bit premature to claim such a thing.

What annoys me the most is that leave voters have been primarily emotionally influenced. The Brexit camp had no idea how to take any of its promises from anything more than a vision. They somehow expected a Government which was pro-remain to clean all their mess up and now we're in the situation we're in now, with no plan, hanging in limbo looking like an absolute mess to the rest of the world.

Camoron needs to go now so we can get out of that limbo, him hanging on for 3 months is only going to drag the Uk down further due to the uncertainty. No one can do anything while we have a sulking PM

It's irrelevant, who is there to replace him?
Borris Johnson cannot be PM, we would be an international embarrassment.

Indeed, nothing is happening right now.

Boris obviously has no plan from here and right now all of the promises that were given to the electorate are now unraveling around him.

Watching the NI Assembly right now and there is huge disagreement on how to move forward. Even in NI we have no plan to move forward, and we have a border with the south to sort out.

Right now everyone is shouting at Westminster, looking for assurances for all of the former EU funding for community projects, farmers and researchers.

Well in theory they could do what they are legally required and put it to a parliament vote which would get it vetoed out and then business as normal, no more uncertainty

I believe that's called, having your cake and eating it...

Tthe leave campaign leaders should be punished greatly for this IMO. This can't happen again.
