VGA temp monitoring in real time.

This isn't a thread, but since i'm new to modding I wanted to ask a question to anyone here who is kind enough to answer: I'm looking for any app that will display my VGA temperature on my desktop in real time....I want to upgrade to a better cooler fan than the stock one my video card came with - I'd also want to try my hand at OCing & want to watch my temps closely. Since this is an OCing/Mod website I thought I'd try my luck here. Thx for the space. :)

whats your graphics card, are you sure it even supports temp monitoring

yeah it all depends on what graphics card you have, and if it supports temp monitoring or not :) , its usually only the higher end graphics cards that do

THX to everyone who responded to my request!

SPECIAL THX to everyone who posted a reply for my request concerning the VGA temp monitoring on my desktop! With the MBM 5 link provided by kempez815 it should do the trick.....not that this means anything but my video card is an XFX 6600GT with no temp monitoring in the properties area PV5150 - Thx for asking! And SORRY PV5150 for posting this in the wrong area! I knew the Aussies would come through for me......they always do!!! THX AGAIN!! :) :) :)

Our pleasure mate, we're always here to help. I provided the d/l links to both pieces of software in my first post for you, if you don't already have them :)

You can mod the bios to enable temp monitoring :). I've done it on my friends 6600 (eVGA), cept that was before NiBitor had the plugin. I had to do it via hex editing. Pain in the arse but it worked! :D
