Hey all

I have. 64gb V100 atm, I wanna chuck another in at raid 0, now I know trim wont be supported but I heard something about garbage control...

What is it, same as trim?

Does it work with Kingston V100 or only with V+100 (my friends has 2 of these ones, he says it work with his)

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

So TTL is it ok then to raid 0 2 V100's

just making sure as I thought it was only ok for V+100

I just checked the Kingston website and it only

Mentions garbage control on the V+100 not the V100

so do u think i should put it in raid or just buy a 128gb one, would not having trim or garbage collection affect the drives significantly?

instead of buying an extra 128GB V100, why not put in a V+100 (another 64GB one) and use that as the primary raid drive. that way, that drive will garbage collect on the others, not matter if they have trim or not

i didnt know u could do that, a primary raid drive, how do you do that?

i fought you just have 2 drive in raid 0 and they both share the primary hd source, somethingt like that

see: here

in RAID0 - if one drive is FUBAR'd, then they are all FUBAR'd

so, only install the applications on the RAID and store all data on a seperate HDD

or, store all data and apps on the array, but do regular back-ups (once-a-week)

Thanks for the help but I'm really a noob at this, FUBArd?

I'm just confused sooo much, be more basic with me!!!
