it's install folder is likely elsewhere if it is on your PC, I would advise checking you CPU usage.

For the last few years utorrent was becoming a mess anyway and i was already using an older version of it to stay clear of it, now it will never be on any of my computers ever.

I'm pretty shocked they would do this and not expect people to notice.

Besides, with ASICs now available and growing ever faster does this even achieve much? CPU mining was always dreadful, even years back when the difficulty was lower.

Would this program be using Java? I have noticed that java on my pc is using 30-40% of my cpu sometimes in task manager.

Had this exact version installed and running for as long as it's been available and there is no bitcoin miner or EpicScale folder anywhere on my machine at all

EDIT - Apparently it's opt-in during the install, surely people know to uncheck everything by now

I know quite a lot of people who will just next next next the setups and then come moaning to me that they have crap on their computers, told them many times but some still do it.

Fact of the matter is though, utorrent is shipping tons of crap with its client, and all it needs to be is a simple torrent client.

Apparently its not according to others. Its a bit fishy.

Personally I just stick with µTorrent v2.2.1, cuts all the crap out that came about in V3.x
