You're implying that bit was directed at you. It was more of a generalized statement. Considering you immediately linked it with piracy (you might as well do that to streaming these days...) earlier I can see why you took it personally.
I don't need to torrent to get my music either but I used that guy as an example as he is pretty big. Torrenting will become a bit more popular due to the various data laws that are springing up and not to mention the whole US/UK governments being a bit backwards when it comes to file hosting/sharing.
I didn't link it with piracy if you read it. I said i could go to HDtracks(for buying hi-fi music) or go to a streaming service like Tidal. Tidal is a paid streaming service. Nothing about it is piracy, money they make also goes towards the artists/owner. So in the end i as said earlier, your music example applies too select circumstances and other alternatives are out there they are 100% legal.
Well again that guy is a select circumstance. Sure to those that listen to him then by all means torrent it to get his music, doesn't bother me much. I'm not against torrenting. If it becomes the new way of doing things companies do to save money and avoid lawsuits and etc, then i won't be against it. Just still must be wary, hackers will jump on ship too to infect torrenting clients. We'll see how it goes i suppose
