UT60 240mm vs RX240

I need some verification on the size difference between the UT60 and the RX240
UT60 Dimensions (LxWxH):280x124x60mm
RX240 Dimensions (LxWxH):280x124x63mm

The technical specs show the UT60 being slightly thinner then the RX240 but with the same length and width.

Do these dimensions include the end tanks and in the case of the UT60 the stop plugs that are on the end of the tanks (two on the top and one drain plug on the bottom)? If anyone can help with this I would appreciate it. I am looking to buy and need to know if either of these rads will fit.

Looks to me like those specs you posted are the actual dimensions including end tanks. The RX 240 is double 120mm rad (thus the name) yet it is quoted as being 280 long.

280 is whit the "end tanks" After seen your build, i will say go and buy one :)

My concern with the UT60 is those stop plugs on the top and bottom of the rad. particularly the bottom. I am very limited on space and would hate to have a clearance issue because of a stupid drain plug. :banghead:

I can see your point, cant you call a place that have the rads and ask them to check it ? :)

I will try to give PPC's a call and see if someone could help.

Update, No luck getting ahold of anyone at PPC's. I think I will just get the RX240 and be done with it.

It's not a drain plug on the UT60, it's for bleeding air trapped in the top of the rad if mounted vertically.

the stop plug will add another 2mm to overall. i like the access, but it can be a
curse as well. dont think either will dissapoint.

Ended up going with the RX240, there would have been enough room by mounting the rad up a little and securing it with only two screws.

i like the XSPC they use the M4/6-32 rad fan screws... these alphas using the
smallish M3 screws.. they tend to let the SP120 wander without a washer. the
RX is a great choice. the last one im trying is the HL SR1. ran the GTX line and
wasnt happy with the fan selection for hush mode.. ill prolly go back to XSPC
with my tail between my legs...
