Usb Mini cable question

Hey guys,

I've got a ducky keyboard, the Usb cable it came with wasn't long enough so for a while I used a usb extension with it but decided to buy a longer cable because I was experiencing random usb disconnecting/reconnecting sounds, as if I were constantly doing it myself.

Just trying to find where the problem because I have been told usb extentions are usually a no go.

When I was looking at the cables side by side I noticed a temperature difference.. the original cable was 80deg where as this one I have now is 60deg.

Whats that about?

It could be the max temperature of the plastic sleeving, maybe the 80c one has been treated with something to enable it to withstand higher environment temps etc, either way I highly doubt that you'll run into any form of trouble from it.

Seen in your sig that you have a ducky keyboard.. I've got the same.. I'm just trying to narrow down the problem. Possibly be my steel series mouse?.. time will tell I guess :/
