USB Device Not Recognized!?!?!

I am running Windows 7 and for what ever reason the "USB Device Not Recognized" is always popping up in the bottom task bar. I have checked all of my devices that are plugged in using USB and they are all working fine. All that I have plugged in is, Logitech G15 and G5 and my wireless adapter. I have already tried disabling the device by clicking the icon and uninstalling but the thing keeps popping up. Does anyone know why it would be doing this and what the fix would be? Thanks

I figured out the problem but I cannot find the correct drivers. I'm guessing that Asus does not have up to date Windows 7 drivers for my motherboard and that is what is causing the issue. The drivers that are causing issues are, ACPI\PNPB006 and ACPI\PNPB02F. I'm not sure how to get the drivers because I have looked everywhere and cannot find them. Does anyone else have an suggestions?

go into BIOS, and see if USB PnP is enabled

are the USB devices connected (via the IO shield) on the mobo OR the front of the case?

if it is the front of the case, are the cables from the case connected to the mobo correctly !!!

The mobo is the A8N5X. I believe PnP is enabled and the USB's are connected in the back. I only use the front for connecting my iPod or phone and they work fine. I checked the connection to the motherboard for the cable for the front and everything is fine.

your back-panel IO supprts 4 x USB 2.0/1.1

you also reported that all external devices work fine when they are plugged in - you just keep getting the message !!!

weird - it may be that the USB ports have given up due to wear'n'tear - i have checked out your mobo on the asus site and noticed how old it is (first BIOS update was 2005/08/10)

so the mobo was released: Q3 2005 (ancient)

i think a mobo upgrade is well overdue

I would love to upgrade but unfortunately I do not have the money right now. I guess I'll just have to live with the message because it seems that there is not a solution.
