(Un Named) Vengeance C70 project

Hi all I have been very busy as of late with retiring from the Army and all but now it is time for a new build to put in my hole in the wall. Its kinda a tribute theme from my military days. Still on a bit of a budget and really wanted to get an SSD however ended on spending more on the motherboard that I really wanted so had to cut a few things like the SSD and after market cooling

So the specs are:

Corsair Vengeance C70 Military Green Case

ASUS Sabertooth Z77

Intel 3570K

In Win Commander II 850W

1Tb Western Digital Green Hard Drive

MSI Cyclone HD 6850

8 Gb Corsair XMS3 1600 ram

Will update as soon as possible.

Tbh you should've got a 450W or 550W PSU and got an SSD with the money saved, but overall i'm loving the military theme going on, should turn out looking awesome! This is the first build with a C70 i've seen on this site, so this should be interesting

Should have got the corsair vengeance military green, would look great.

Urgh I think he did

OP, Are you planning any mods or just a build?

Bullet holes etc are a bit too obvious but there's other things you could do maybe.

I am thinking on putting a pin-up girl on the side panel just not sure which one yet and will add some markings from the things I saw while in the Army. Future is to replace sad tinted panel with a clear one. No bullet holes; not part of the theme. The SSD was a trade for the ASUS Sabertooth from the Gigabyte Z77X-D3H which sucked up the funds but looks better (no blue). Want to add a Corsair H100 later but the lack of funds has hurt that. Here are some new pics:

So I got it all built up and running and just needed the 8 pin extension to get the EPS plugged in. Here are the money shots:

Still looking to add a H100 or good air cooler and some better fans in place of the stock, new side window (clear no fan mounts) and some touch ups down the road. I will keep this thread updated on the changes as they come along. For the far side panel thinking on ghost image of paratroopers marching in with slightly more pronounced images of airborne unit insignia and I might call it "The Devil in Baggy Pants" in honor of my time in the 82nd ABN Division.

So just a small update for now! I got some new bits, a couple of Corsair AF120 fans one for the back and one for the bottom.

Checking the color against the case.

BottomAF120Small.jpg

Bottom Fan installed, I know a bit of dust but took care of it right away more on that in a bit.

BackAF120Small.jpg

Back fan installed.

Bitfenix Spector Pro White LED fans for the front.

OK so the case has to be cleaned every week because of the two side fan holes:mad: but I do have some plexi to put there just waiting for it to cool off as it has been over 100F the last month and I already messed up one plexi panel working in the hot garage. Also I picked up an air cooler to tide me over until I can get some water cooling bits. I want to go custom on that instead of the H100 as I want a thicker radiator and can fit an XSPC EX240 in the top and with almost 10mm more height than the H100 it should be better for cooling. Thats it for now stay tuned for the air cooler install.
