Ultraviolet Water Purifier

I was wondering if any of you have attempted to use one of these http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___69478 to purify your loop? It seems like it would work, just dip it in your res every couple of weeks.

Not really sure about that? Guess I couldn't do any harm, my loops usually in pieces so often fungus and bacteria won't have chance to grow!

Also notice at the bottom of that ad.... What's Iowa got against you steralising their water? What do they put in it? Mind control drugs!

You should really be using coolant though shoudlnt you? I don't know if you still get lots of dirt and stuff in that.

There totally isn't anything wrong with the normal forms of keeping the loop clean, I was redoing my loop and just thought of this as an alternative to using a coil or biocide. But on another note II want to know if there is any product out there that will prevent clouding in clear tubing?

If you use these UV sterilizers make sure you do not expose your own skin to the rads 'cause the device can cause serious UV skin damage within seconds.

Sounds dangerous Would rather the trusty silver coil imo
