Hey everyone

Does anyone know which would configuration would get better results two identical ssds in raid O or a a single larger capacity one.

Many Thanks

No no No

Jackster is wrong

Single largest you can afford.

Look at the threads on these here forums dude.

Yeah if you put the ssd's in raid you lose the TRIM support so it will slow down after time. It's better to get one large drive like Lasher said!

Actually if you get OCZ drives they have a seperate trim tool you can download that keeps your drives clean.

But Not if they're in raid. So buy the single largest one you can afford.

The actual sandforce controllers have a garbage cleaner, it isn't effective as Windows 7 TRIM, but it will delay the decay of the SSD apparently. But a single higher capacity you also get the benefit of TRIM, and realistically, you don't really need SSDs in RAID 0.
