Transporting a Watercooled PC

i just wack mine in the back of a car, between the seats. Think i've had it leak once, but that was due to the o-ring on the pump being to small, never had an issue since.

Just keep it standing up right.. I'd worry more about things falling out of PCI/PCIe slots than the watercooling setup.

That's why I've never trusted tool-less designs and insist everything is screwed in :p

Bubbles in a loop are nothing, like the guy before told me, just rotate it until the bubble is away from the pump then let the pump get rid of it.

You can get these plastic bags filled with air, they use them for packing. A few of those will help keep things in place during transport.

Hey now there's an idea, and I just got some more parts the other day which means plenty of air bags :D

Just a thought. If you need to carry it I managed to find a NZXT LAN carry strap. Just takes the weight off your mind of dropping it. but then again you have to trust your computer with 2 clips and a metal strap. My computer did a return journey on 4 trains and across numberous platforms for 2 hours each time and survived . Even gives you a nice little strap on the side to put keyboard, mouse etc.

Ebay for useless junk ftw. rofl

As another suggestion..Just take off the CPU block and stick it to the side of the case to stop it banging around. Might help. ;)

I think they will... I got them thinking the wouldnt be strong enough but my case aint the lightest and it was being jerked on the end of the strap going up and down the stair in the station. Always worth a shot...

Anyways..have you transported it yet?? what was it like?

I had a watercooled rig for 2 years and I took it to lan parties all the time. Tbh, as long as you dont drop it or something its fine, just make saure everything is in place when you get to the destination (mine always was) and you're good to go :)

Seriously, I struggle to lift this with two hands, it's quite quite heavy :p

Transporting it this weekend, I'll let you know how it goes. If I don't respond by Tues you all know it went badly :D
