How come Vardar fans at the top and Corsair ones in the front?...

Started my water cooling journey with a 240 kit of EKWB, the Vardar fans were part of it. I used a Corsair H110i before, that obviously used 140mm fans. I needed two 120mm ones so I gave the Vardar fans a try.

When satisfied and I think I am, I might replace all fans will with Vardar's. But that is something for later... The combination Vardar and Corsair works perfectly fine for now.

I RMA'd my EVGA GTX980Ti about a week ago because of excessive coil whine. Received a new card from EVGA that, while it's a lot less audible than the previous, it still has a nasty whine too it. I got told to let it run for a couple days, doing some stressing on the card to "burn" it in. New cards seem to do this often, then decreasing or even disappearing after some days? Well.. I'm in the progress of doing that right now and i figured, why not try and squeeze the card out completely.

I'm running a custom BIOS now:

1.27v
Throttle disabled.
Boost disabled.
Power Limit increased.
1575 Mhz core-clock.
8400 Mhz memory clock.

And it's one-hour Unigine Valley stable. Seems i have a very strong GTX980Ti (79.9% ASIC) on my hands here, so i sure hope i get this whine sorted out.

Nice rig there :), I also have F3 Vardars on my rad I prefer them to the Corsair SP120 I used to have.

Love the Vardar's so far, the push a lot of air and are very silent for their RPM. Most likely going to replace the loud Corsair SP120's with some more Vardar's one of these days.

The backplate on the soundcard is awesome indeed. Too bad its so difficult to see inside the case.

Thanks for the feedback, appreciated.

Air 540 looks like an awesome case; would love to have one to build with. Slick build.

Thanks.

The Carbide 540 is a dream to work with. It might not be Caselabs or Phanteks quality but its an awesome case for sure. The dual chamber system makes it very roomy and cable-management a breeze.

I can definitely recommend this case to anyone looking for a cube form-factor case.

I installed a 'GPU bracket' some weeks ago to prevent the heavy water-block from sagging. I made it from a thin black tube, screw into the bottom-plate of the case. Very sturdy, very stealthy and the 980Ti is perfectly level now.

I made mine together with a good friend, he has a lasercutting machine at his work which we could use. I do know coldzero sells them and I've seen them in person as well, they look great, solid quality and the pricing isn't too bad either.

Is he in the UK? can you PM me if he is with a phone number?

Cheers !

Not sure who 'he' is you're referring to?

Coldzero is located in Portugal but they ship worldwide, check out their website at www.coldzero.eu

Me and my friend are living in The Netherlands, but he isn't able to provide this service for other people. His boss does not allow him to make sort of a business of it. I asked if he could do it for another friend a couple weeks ago but he said he really isnt allowed. I'm sorry...

But yes, take a look at coldzero. Their product are top notch and the pricing is very reasonable.
