Small Rig Update

Resident Newb
So after getting the Titan X the ROG Maximus VII Formula's mobo shield didn't quite go with it, It was a sort of charcoal colour.

So I painted it gloss black, Completely covering any red, Including the ROG logo in the middle, Looks much better now in the flesh, I also swapped out any red sleeves for black sleeves and changed the waterblocks colour to that of the TX's LED colour although it shows up as different on these pics due to my camera not being up to snuff.

I also gave the Xonar Phoebus soundcard the carbon fiber vinyl wrap treatment to go with the black theme.

I also installed 2 white LED strips, 1 at the bottom and one on the right side of the motherboard, Both behind for a nice underglow effect.

And to top it off I got an OC3D window sticker made for the inside :)

Nice rig Dice, me jealousy!... You love modder, wanna have some modding work? :p

And for the love of God, paint that mounting bracket, plain silver looks funky in my opinion... although you might have it due to it looks to blend in well with the RAM sticks.

You not gonna get a sweet backplate for dat Titan X godness?

Also...... nice shot on the side panel window, earthquake incoming!

I actually do want to paint the mounting bracket but there's really no point as it will be getting replaced soon with a Corsair H110i GT and it might not have the same mounting bracket so I'll have to wait and see :)

The TX backplate is in the works, I have to wait for someone to get back to me about some custom work.

The side panel window shot is a little fuzzy as my camera is starting to die :(

As they look very similar to each other in terms of the body shape of it as well...

Or do like me... once you've got the cooler you want, contact Corsair, get a new bracket and paint that one, then put the original back in the box, just in case ;)

Dude... I gotta tell you... I am soooooo into the Titan X to be honest with you. Even with the ASUS ROG Swift, despite all of your faulty ones... I believe that it might be different shipments to Sweden than to UK, so might not have the same faultyness (?)... and even if it does, it's easier for me to return it for a new one, as the place is within driving distance to me :)

Ohh... and dude, me want this on me fractal cooler ...

It's going to look exactly like my soundcards carbon wrapped backplate :)

I feel I have started a trend

Yeah just wait it out until you have your replacement then and then paint it. Painted bracket on the unit means lower resale value, unless it just so happens to be the exact colour that they're looking for, or if you can take it off cause plasti-dip. But the latter would just mean it's a waste of paint.

Nice with the carbon fibre there I've been thinking about wrapping some on the ugly green pcb on my network card, do you think it's a good idea? I would think it could be a problem with heat, but since you're doing it in a GPU it should'nt be to bad? :)

Make a backplate for your network card and then wrap it in vinyl wrap :)

And I'm only putting the vinyl on the backplate I'm havcing made not on the actual PCB :)

I had everything plated and wrapped in my AMD rig. Makes it soo much easier to clean the backs of the PCB when all you have to do is wipe over some vinyl. The backs of PCBS get dirty and they're a sod to clean because of all of the sharp bits.
