I wouldnt say that you get a good laptop for 750 british pund eh?

Maybe a ASUS A42Ja or Acer Aspire 5742G

Samsung R780 Laptop

Intel Core i5-480M 2.66GHz

4GB RAM

640GB HDD

17.3" LED

ATI Radeon HD5470

Webcam + Bluetooth

Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

MSI make really solid laptops, the one my friend has had for 3 years still work perfectly fine, while I'm seeing problems with my HP which I've had barely over a year. Biggest problem is finding a place that sells MSI laptops.

they sell them where i usually buy from, but looking at prices and specs, the xps 15 is still on top of my list

€729 for an i5 480m, 500gb storage, 460 gt m gpu and jbl audio..

if i look at msi i can only go 17" at that price range or i have to pay €850 for something almost equal to the xps.

so its xps, samsung msi for now, also considering a alienware m11x if i can find one cheap
