Time of the month............

Well its time of the month for me to clean my systems, OH JOY.

My main rig - once a month

LAN rig - I clean this a week before I need it, see if there are any problems

Backs up system - every 3 months or so...

Server(s) - every 3 months or so...

family systems, when I can be arsed

then all of the system are fully striped down once a year for cleaning.

How do guys clean your system and how often?

I was worried what this thread was about when I saw the title haha, I blast my rig with compressed air every 3 months, doesn't really need it too often, good positive pressure and dust filters are the way to go.

and perhaps remove ur case fans and give em a good whipe over to remove the sticky dust

i use a dust vaccum, but first small amounts of air in cravases, not the whole case. all that does is disperse

the dust and reclaims again on power-up. then a dust capture.

I go old school and strip everything down every few months and brush all the dust off with a 4" paint brush, not with paint on, obviously
