Several years ago I was into benching. So when I was not benching I was folding.

Have fun!!:)

Thanks for the heads up and happy benching.

:cussing:My i5 rig is giving me some right stick, been hard locking just after it starts folding (frozen pointer etc with the occasional bsod) for quite afew months now but normally one or two reboots and it sorts itself & can fold for hours/days until i have to turn the machine off BUT today no matter what i do it just keeps locking up.

So i'm in the process of eliminating what may be faulty which isn't my idea of fun, according to several mem tests there's nothing wrong with the ram but no program is fool proof so im going to have to do it the old fashioned way and pull each stick out and see if it locks up.

I was hoping it might of been some software (firewall / AV) that i'd installed but i tried afew combinations of with and without & it still does it. So im thinking ram or maybe a dicky psu as the beep codes i did manage to hear when it bsod pointed to the ram then a flashing power button pointed to the psu lol

So thats my 660ti out of action unless i swop out my 660 and put the Ti in.

Oh and another moan....my 750ti has gone back to getting nothing but 8018's again :(

Shit Happens :D

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I guess that's the life of a folder. When you're pushing your hardware 24/7, something is bound to go pop (unfortunately).

That sucks mate! Hopefully you can get it sorted without too much trouble :)

If its any consolation my 750ti is getting nothing but 8018's again too.

Got an old Q6600 cpu with an Abit board and a 7950 card and was having similar problems, i.e. computer just turned off. Reseated ram and all power plug ins and it would run for an hour or maybe a week. Reseat everything and it runs again. Noticed one time that the ram was a little warm, not hot but just a little warm. Added a 80mm fan blowing on the ram and it has been up for over a month now with no trauma. Think it is fixed.

Just a thought, might be worth a try....

Cheers chaps, just got back from work & thought i'd pull the side of the rig to make sure the ram was seated properly, nothing out of place so booted up and the stupid thing is playing nice today :headscratch: so ill leave it til it goes tits up again then whip the ram out and go from there.

Only thing that has annoyed me today is that 140.163.4.231 is having problems so i didn't get any credit for a wu i uploaded early hours (43k)

I have corrected some issues on that server. Hopefully the work will be credited in the next hour. I'll check back in a few hours to see if the issue resolves itself.

Sorted :p

Arg!!

All of my cards are running 9408 WU's that means a 15 to 20K PPD loss per card vs 9406, 1300, and 106xx WU's.

For whatever reason 9408 WU's don't run well on my AMD Cards:(. Good bye PPD....

Yep my folding rig crashed earlier today - possibly heat related...

EDIT - crashed again - think the heat is just too much for it. After this wu is finished I'm gonna have to turn it off until the weather gets a little bit cooler...
