You get lower PPD with 6701 and they take much longer to do, so if like me you fold on the PC you use it's a nightmare because they can take up to 18hrs, they do for me anyway
I've found that, I'm using my laptop to fold at the moment as I was having a few issues with the pc. It seems to be taking forever on the laptop

You could be looking at over a day for a 6701 on a laptop and if you use it, even longer.
I'm trying not to use the laptop too much, just for things like MSN because it's easier than sitting in the dining room at the pc when i can be comfy on my sofa with the laptop l

i may have just figured out the repetitive problem i have been having...
make sure that while initiating a WU (at client launch), no other memory hungry apps are running!!!!
IE: do not have any browsers open (especially firefox)

- FAH GPU Tracker needs un-allocated reported memory to be TRUE.
- it was reporting 4095MB to server (out of 4GB), when firefox was running and using ~1GB
- the server was sending packets too large to be accommodated and failing

i haven't even got my new rig yet
i am not using any GPUs (as they slow my SMP down)
and i haven't folded the PS3 for a few weeks
aim for someone else, that you will overtake - lol
