Those little annoying F@H things ..

anyone else getting pissant smp work units? they're really frustrating me atm and dragging down the ppd lol

The 8004's are not really that bad, just not real good. It still looks like 14K+PPD.....I've had some losers that only made 8K PPD on i7 950 @4G

that pic was taken while the ppd was still dropping from previous wu's, smp ppd is currently sat at just under 7k which is not good for i7 territory

I've been getting 8004's for the last 24 hours. Time to complete is around 1hr 30 - 2hrs
With bonus they are varying between 550-800 but it's a pain in the bum having to get these little projects done.
All need doing though, so haven't binned any.

I really really dislike the pathetic points that some of the work units are giving out. My 2600k (only at 3.8ghz, but still thats hardly slow) currently working through a WU that is estimated to dish out 18k PPD.

Do they want us to just bin SMP folding and just run GPU, with the only CPU folding worth doing is -bigadv?

They need doing for science and I don't bin the 'bad' work units, but it almost makes me feel like a second class folder because my rig isn't good enough for their exclusive -bigadv units.

ATM all my SMP has been switched back to the consloe client and GPU is on V7. PPD is starting to recover...

If Stanford keeps this stuff up i.e. 8k PPD or less on an i7 950 @ 4G with some V7 WU's, I'll consider shuting off my machines and join a very long list of high point contributors that have left the program....

Well they just today moved bigadv from min of 12 core to 16 core, so the club just got more exclusive. Might be able to still run some if you have a highly overclocked 6 core with hyperthreading with some linux trickery.

Pretty crazy swings in my 2 months of folding this year. The 3770K at 4.8Ghz has been as low as 12,000PPD on a 7611WU and 90,000PPD on a 6904 bigadv.

I don't think we'd mind so much if everyone declined together or everyone climbed in WU valuation together, but because it's not fair it really strikes a nerve with a lot of folders.
