i've just brought (finance pending) a 32" lcd screen with wallmount to go in my bedroom :S

Really not sure if its the best thing i should of done. Works out to be about £30 a month for 2 years.

I dont even have a aerial in my bedroom yet :S

All depends what brand of LCD you buy. I've noticed some are better than others. Can't wait to see what OLED T.V's look like when they come out.

Went to Circuit City yesterday. (Good) Plasmas blew any LCD out of the water. As soon as you pass 25" or so on LCD, they get blurry as fook for regular cable viewing, which sucks. Plasma on the other hand, if you properly configure it so it's not dark as hell, looks awesome. CRT still looks the best but they're so damn heavy. Projection is meh. DLP seems to be good. My Dad is looking seriously into Samsungs new 42" HDTV w/DLP. It's a great model, looks awesome for regular cable viewing and movies :).

We were originally going to get the Sony 42" Grand WEGA w/3LCD Technology, but it just looks so shoddy for regular cable viewing, which is what you watch 90% of the time, it's terrible.

DLP are the ones with the bulbs right?... and they die and u have to pay like 500 bucks everytime they die to get a new one..??

Only problem with Plasma's is that they have burn in. I know that some stations have certain logos in the corner of the channel so if you like to watch programs on a certain channel there will be the logo actually "burnt in" to it so when you change the channel it will still appear there darker.

If you get a decent LCD then it matches a plasma for looks. I sat and watched Sky+ and some HD content on several 40" plasmas and 40" LCD's and you can't tell the difference. The picture is perhaps "different" rather than better.

been looking into this for a couple of days. i found that plamsa's look crap at close distance's. LCD are nowhere near as bad. (this is very important for me as i only have a small bedroom). Most middle range upwards now have wide viewing angles. It's something that is a hell of a lot better than it used to be.

I agree with Kemp. A decent LCD will match a plasma on any given day. But then again it's up to you nathan, plasma's have come a long way too...reliability is way up there now :)

well.... i have my tv, sooner than i thought. I'm really happy with it. Love the fact that i've just scrapped my 17" dell monitor for a 32" :D. Tested the tv side of things downstairs (havent put a aerial in this room yet), all seems brill.

I took a couple of pics on my phone, but as usual there crap. (new phone next!)
